Granddaughters' achievement

Today, October 14th, 2006 was a great day in our life - our first granddaughter, Sowmya, 5 months old, turned on her back - kuppurathi kondal (in Tamil). Wasn't that a wonderful, wonderful sight to behold? For the past one week, she and her younger cousin Aditi (my second granddaughter, 4 months old, bottom) were both trying their skill in turning! Every few seconds they would turn on their backs, lift their heads (wow !) but immediately start crying because their tummy was under "pressure" - a totally new feeling for them. We will put them back, but no, they would turn again the next moment. Fabulous sight to watch.
