அர்ஜுன் ஆயுஷ்ஹோமம்.

அர்விந்த் - கிருத்திகாவின் குழந்தை சி. அர்ஜுனின் ஆயுஷ்ஹோமம் 2013 மே மாஸம் 23 வியாழன்று சென்னை RK Mutt road@-ல் ஸ்வாமி ஹாலில் நடைபெற்றது.

இதற்கான ஏற்பாடுகளை ஒரு மாஸம் முன்னதாகவே அர்விந்தும் கிருத்திகாவும் ஆரம்பித்து விட்டனர். சாஸ்திரிகளுக்கு சொல்வது, caterer-உடன் பேசுவது என நானும் என் பங்கிற்கு வேலைகள் செய்தேன். பத்திரிகை LB road Mekala Invitationsல் அடிக்கப்பட்டது. எல்லாரையும் பத்திரிகை மூலமாகவும் ஃபோன் மூலமாகவும் அழைத்தோம் 

அருணும் அஷோக்கும் பெங்களூரிலிருந்து வந்தனர். 22-ஆம் தேதி விடியற்காலம் அருண் குடும்பத்தினரும், அன்று இரவு அஷோக் - நீரஜாவும் வந்தனர். நாங்களும் 14-ஆம் தேதியன்றே பெங்களூரிலிருந்து திரும்பி விட்டோம்.

மே 23, 2013 வியாழன்

காலை 03 மணிக்கே எழுந்து கொண்டேன். எல்லாரும் சீக்கிரமே எழுந்து கொண்டு, குளித்து ரெடியானோம்.5-45க்கு 2 காரில் ஹாலுக்கு கிளம்பினோம். அது ஏஸி ஹால். 

உறவினர்கள் ஒவ்வொருவராக வர ஆரம்பித்தனர். லலிதா-குமார், ஜனனி முதலில் வந்தனர். 6-45க்கு காலை சிற்றுண்டி - ரவா கேஸரி, இட்லி, பொங்கல், வடை. மும்பையிலிருந்து வைஷாலியும் விஷ்ணும் வந்தனர். சாஸ்திரிகள் மாமா 8 மணிக்கு வந்து ஆரம்பித்தார். அர்ஜுன் நீல கலரில் (ரெடிமேட்) வேஷ்டி போட்டுக் கொண்டான்.

சரோஜா, அத்திம்பேர், சுகவனம், பிரகாஷ், ராஜேஸ்வரி, சுபா, மகேஷ், விஜயராகவன், மாமி (சுதா ஆகியோர் ஊட்டியில் இருந்தார்கள், வரவில்லை), சுதன், இந்திரா, லக்ஷ்மி, பெண்கள், விஜயாவின் தோழி நாகலக்ஷ்மி ஆகியோர் வந்தனர். அர்விந்தின் ஆஃபீஸ்காரர்கள், மாமாவின் நண்பர்கள், மாமியின் உறவினர்கள்  என 90 பேருக்கும் மேலாக வந்தனர்.

TSG தாத்தாவின் மடியில் உட்கார்ந்து கொண்டு அர்ஜுன் காது குத்திக் கொண்டான். விழா சுமார் 11 மணிக்கு நிறைவு பெற்றது. பின்னர் விருந்து. அம்பத்தூர் அருகில் உள்ள அயப்பாக்கத்திலிருந்து, ராமா கேடரர். நாங்கள் யாவரும் 12-15க்கு சாப்பிட்டோம்; பின்னர் வீடு திரும்பினோம். 

சுந்தரேசன், சாவித்திரி, மங்களம், ரமா, வாசு, பாமா ஃபோன் மூலம் ஆசிகள் கூறினார்கள். இப்படியாக, அர்ஜுன் ஆயுஷ்ஹோமம் மிக சிறப்பாக நடந்தேறியது.

இரவு உணவு ஹோட்டலிலிருந்து வரவழைக்கப்பட்டது (அர்விந்த்) . சாப்பிட்ட பின்னர் 10:30க்கு அருண், அஷோக் ஆகியோர் பெங்களூர் கிளம்பினர்.

ஸ்ரீராம் ஆயுஷ்ஹோமம் Sriram Ayush homam

SRIRAM AYUSHYA HOMAM

அருணின் குழந்தை ஸ்ரீராம் 7-4-2008 அன்று பிறந்தான்; குழந்தையின் ஆயுஷ்ஹோமம் நக்ஷத்திரம் (அஸ்வினி) இந்த வருஷம் மார்ச் மாசம் 28 ஆம் தேதி சனிக்கிழமை அன்று வந்தது.

3 மாசங்களுக்கு முன்பே அருண் ஹால் ஏற்பாடு பண்ணி முன்பணமும் செலுத்தி விட்டான். இடையில், ஃபிப்ரவரி 4-ஆம் தேதி நானும் விஜயாவும் திடீரென பெங்களூர் போய் அங்கு 45 நாட்கள் தங்கவேண்டி வந்தது. பத்திரிகை அடிப்பது, அட்ரஸ் எழுதி எல்லாருக்கும் அனுப்புவது, catererக்கு ஏற்பாடு பண்ணுவது, மெனு தீர்மானிப்பது, போன்ற வேலைகளை அருண்-காயத்ரியே செய்து விட்டனர். Caterer எங்கள் குடும்ப/ஆஸ்தான caterer ஐயப்பன் தான்!

மார்ச் 21-ஆம் தேதி நாங்கள் சென்னை திரும்பியதும், ஒரு நல்ல நாளில் வைதீகத்திற்குத் தேவையான் சாமான்களை வாங்க ஆரம்பித்தோம். இன்னொரு நாள் நானும், அருணும் சென்று வைதீக சாமான்களை வாங்கி முடித்தோம். எல்லா சாமான்களும் மயிலாப்பூர் தெற்கு மற்றும் வடக்கு மாட வீதிகளில் வாங்கினோம்.

மார்ச் 22 ஆம் தேதி நான், விஜயா, சதீஷ், அர்விந்த், கிருத்திகா, அதிதி ஆகியோர் திநகர் GRT சென்று, குழநதை ஸ்ரீராமிற்கு (அர்விந்த், அஷோக்) சித்தப்பாக்கள் ஆசிர்வாதமாக 4 கிராமில் (கிராம் விலை ரூ 1435.00) ஒரு பொன்காசு வாங்கினோம்.

மார்ச் 27 வெள்ளிக்கிழமை பகல் 12 மணி அளவில் 75 தேங்காய்கள் வந்து இறங்கின. நானும், விஜயாவும் அவற்றை தாம்பூலப் பைகளில் வெற்றிலை பாக்குடன் சேர்த்து போட்டோம். 70 பைகள் போட ஒண்ணரை மணி நேரம் பிடித்தது.

அன்று மாலை 7 மணிக்கு வடபழனி கோயிலில் தங்கத் தேர் இழுத்தோம்; காயத்ரியின் அப்பா ஏற்பாடு பண்ணியிருந்தார். (விவரம் இங்கே). வடபழனியிலேயே புஷ்பம், பழம், வாழையிலை ஆகியவைகளை வாங்கினோம். நானும், விஜயாவும் அன்றிரவு அருண் வீட்டிலேயே தங்கிவிட்டோம்.

மறுநாள், சனிக்கிழமை, மார்ச் 28, ஆயுஷ்ஹோம முஹூர்த்த நாளன்று காலை 5-15க்கு எழுந்து, குளித்துவிட்டு, ஸ்ரீராமை எழுப்பி அவனுக்கு ஆரத்தி எடுத்து, மங்கள ஸ்நானம் செய்வித்தோம். காயத்ரி ஹவிஸுக்கு கொஞ்சம் சாதம் பண்ணினாள். எல்லாரும் ரெடியான பிறகு, அருண் காரில் NKS Hallக்கு 7-15க்கு போனோம்.

உறவினர்கள் வர ஆரம்பித்தனர். அஷோக், நீரஜா இன்று விடியற்காலை 5 மணிக்கு பெங்களூரிலிருந்து வந்து சேர்ந்தனர். அவர்களும், அர்விந்த், சதீஷ், அதிதி ஆகியோரும் 8மணி சுமாருக்கு எல்லா சாமான்களையும் எடுத்துக் கொண்டு ஹாலுக்கு வந்தனர்; கிருத்திகா 9.00 க்கு வந்தாள்.

40 பேருக்கு டிஃபன் (கேஸரி, இட்லி, பொங்கல், வடை - ரூ 60.00) சொல்லியிருந்தோம். சுமார் 55-60 பேர் டிஃபன் சாப்பிட்டோம். சாஸ்திரிகள் 9-45 க்கு வந்தனர். 10.31 க்கு நவக்கிரஹ ஹோமம் ஆரம்பமாயிற்று.

பின்னர் காது குத்தல். ஸ்ரீராம் தன் மாமா ரமணா மடியில் உட்கார்ந்து, காது குத்திக் கொண்டான். அழுதான்.

அடுத்து, ஆயுஷ்ஹோமம் நடந்தது. ஆசீர்வாதங்களுக்குப் பிறகு சுமார் 12-15 க்கு ஆயுஷ் ஹோம விழா நிறைவு பெற்றது. 95 - 100 பேர் வந்திருந்தனர். எல்லாரும் சாப்பிட்ட பிறகு கடைசியில் நாங்கள் 8 பேர் சாப்பிட்டோம்.

மதியம் 2.30 க்கு ஹாலை காலி பண்ணி, கடைசியாக நானும் காயத்ரியும் ஸ்ரீராமும் வீட்டிற்கு கிளம்பினோம்.

இவ்வாறாக, குழந்தை ஸ்ரீராமின் ஆயுஷ்ஹோமம் மிகச் சிறப்பான முறையில் நடைப்ற்று முடிந்தது; ஸ்ரீ கற்பகாம்பாள் ஸமேத ஸ்ரீ கபாலீஸ்வரருக்கு நமஸ்காரங்கள்.

ADITI's Ayushya Homam - 5 July 2007

ADITI AYUSHYA HOMAM

Aditi’s Ayushya Homam was celebrated on 5 July 2007 at Ananda Hall, Indiranagar, Adyar, Chennai.

I and Vijaya got up at 4-15AM and had our bath before 4-30. Then, one by one got up. Padma akka and athimber had come the previous evening and Ashok and Neeraja came by 9-45PM.

Aditi was woken up and given mangala snanam. She wore a beautiful red pavadai – sattai. She was looking gorgeous and radiant. We went to the hall in two batches – we two and akka & athimber in 1st batch and Ashok, Neeraja, Arvind, Krithika with Aditi in the 2nd.

Sowmya, Gayathri, Arun were the next to arrive. Then TSG, mami, and others started coming. It was a good gathering, nearly 80 persons. Sastrigal mama started the rituals by 7-30 AM. The kathu kuththal function started by 8-45AM and Aditi sat on the lap of Ashok. Like Sowmya a month earlier, Aditi too cried a little. She looked more beautiful after she wore the ear studs, just like Sowmya. My two granddaughters played with each other.

Lunch was served at 10-30AM and then the guests started leaving. All of us, including Sowmya, came to Karpagam Avenue in two cars. TSG, mami, Sugavanam, Girija, Sudha, and Dhanush also came. We had a good time, talking and watching Sowmi and Aditi playing. It was wonderful.

Thus, the Ayushya Homam of ADITI was celebrated in a grand manner. God bless Aditi and Sowmya.

Ayushya Homam - Sowmya

AYUSHYA HOMAM for Sowmya

Ayushya Homam is performed for a child at the completion of one year. This Homam is done for the longevity of life for the child.

This function is performed exactly on the Tamil Star day of the birth month (Tamil month). SOWMYA, our grand-daughter was born on Pooradam star in the month of Vaikasi. Her first year completion was on 4th June this year (2007) and we performed the function on this day (4-June-2007)

First, we booked the hall for performing the function. Arun went around Adyar area and fixed a suitable hall (Welfare Assn Community Hall).

Next, we got the invitation cards printed. A brand new Card Shop opened in Mandaiveli on 29 April 2007 and we were the first customers for this shop – we printed the cards on 3rd May. Later, we distributed the cards among our relatives, personally and by post. The Caterer (M/s Iyappan) was also arranged.

Sastrigal had given a list of things to be purchased and Vijaya and I purchased these at Mylapore. New clothes for Sowmya, Arun and Gayathri were also purchased. A Pattu Pavaadai was stitched for Sowmya. Arvind and Ashok joined together and purchased a silver plate for Sowmya.

Ashok and Neeraja came from Bangalore on the early hours of 2nd Jun and all of us left for Arun’s place on 2nd itself to prepare for the function – it was a great time with Sowmya and Aditi. The perishable items like flowers, fruits, vetrilai, thengai etc were purchased on the evening of 3rd.

On the Muhurtham Day, 4th June, we all (including Aditi and Sowmya) left the house by 6-45AM. The invitees started coming from 7-15 onwards and we all had breakfast of Rava Kesari, Idli, Pongal, Vadai. (70 persons ate). The function started by 9.00 AM, with Arun in Pancha kachcham and Gayathri in madisaar.

Saathukudi juice was served for nearly 100 persons. Almost all the invitees attended the function.

The Karna Bhushanam (Ear Piercing) ceremony started by 10-30AM – the special achari came from GRT, TNagar. Sowmya sat on her mama Ramana’s lap and the achari pierced the right ear of Sowmya first and inserted the thodu. She cried wildly. Then the next ear. With Sowmya crying uncontrollably. After 10 minutes, she stopped crying.

The Lunch followed. Then everyone started leaving. We were the last to vacate the hall at 2PM.

Thus, the Ayushya Homam (also Navagraha Homam) Function of Sowmya was celebrated in a grand manner.

Ayushya Homam for our second grand daughter ADITI will be celebrated on 5 JULY 2007 at Ananda Hall, Adyar
